This sets out how Can-Do Child® uses and protects any information that you give us when you use the Can-Do Child® website, access our services, or purchase any of our products.
We are committed to ensuring your privacy is protected at all times.
Can-Do Child® web site, products and services
We only collect data which is relevant to our engagement with you, or the basic functioning of the web site, such as to enable navigation.
Where you download free sample documents, sign up to the newsletter, or purchase products directly from us, we will ask that you provide us with your name and email address. An email is then sent to you asking to verify your email address. This is to enable us to reduce the level of invalid email addresses/spam received. For sample document we will not use the information you give us for anything other than one follow-up email within two weeks of downloading the free content samples, purely for feedback purposes. The newsletter is distributed once per month, managed by a third party service (Mailchimp). This is an opt-in service, and you can opt-out at any time.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your name and email address to third parties unless we are required by law to do so.
We comply with the new GDPR which came into force on 25th May 2018 and are committed to ensuring any information about you that we do hold is secure. To prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
To enable you to take the free 'Are you raising a Can-Do Child?' free scorecard, or purchase products such as activity cards directly from us, we employ third party services. For the free scorecard, we use scoreapp.com and provely who collect your name and email address (scoreapp), or your location based on your IP address (provely). That data is accessible by us through scoreapp.com to enable the scorecard service to function.
If you purchase products directly from us, we use a third party company (in this case PayPal) to process the payment for us. All data provided to process the payment is handled by the third party. None of it is passed on to us other than your name and postal address so we can get the products to you.
We strongly advise you to seek out and read the privacy policies relating to the relevant payment or service portal at the time of buying or accessing our services.
We may work with other third parties such as Pinterest or Google, that serve advertisements across the Internet, tracking website usage statistics. We do not control these third party technologies and their use is governed by the privacy policies of the third parties using such technologies. Please visit www.aboutads.info for more information and learn how to opt-out.
